Error message: Flow:In my kasten backup, i tried to use blueprints to better prepare my elasticsearch db for backup. But, for some reason, my blueprint cannot render '.Profiles' value in official Blueprint for elastic The command is at the last line:Unfortunately, profile is presented and created on kasten dashboard cannot be reached out. More details on my profileSo, is there anything that can prevent those parameters (blueprint and profiles) to be connected?Note 1Also my profile cannot be reached out in kasten-io namespaces when i tried oc get profiles commandBut I see profiles with this command Any explanation on this?Note 2Pod of the blueprint will start in the different namespace than default kasten-io ( {{ .Statefulset.Namespace }} ). Is that a problem? At first that was strange to me, but I did not find anything about it in documentation so i left it as default.Any explanation on whole problem or about minor doubts presented in notes would be great!Thank you in advance!
The overall intent of this article is to consolidate major considerations when it comes to using Veeam Recovery Orchestrator to Recover from Backup Copies. Key:VBR: Veeam Backup & Replication VRO: Veeam Recovery OrchestratorOrchestrating recovery from Backup Copies - Use-Case Overview:Below you will see a is common customer design example. Both sites are Active/Active with production virtual workloads being protected with Backup Jobs as well as Backup Copy Jobs. (BCJ) (1) VBR server at Site-Z which is the DR location. Backup Proxy at each location. (1) Backup Repository for Primary Backups at each location. (1) Backup Repository for Backup Copies at each location. (1) vCenter at Site-Z and vSpheres cluster at each location. Agent deployed protecting a physical workload. Our Veeam Transport (Data Mover) service is represented by a (M) icon here for these machines. Our Agent services are represented by a (A), although the Agent Backup and the one on VBR server is an O
Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis is a feature used to detect ransomware attacks. This feature analyzes the entropy of the data stream during backup. Files encrypted by ransomware typically increase in entropy. By detecting this increase, Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis can stop a ransomware attack before it happens.Benefits:Rapid Detection: Ransomware attacks typically occur very quickly. Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis can prevent data loss and system outages by detecting these attacks before they happen. Improved Accuracy: Traditional ransomware detection methods can cause false alarms. Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis aims to minimize the number of false alarms using entropy analysis. How does it work:Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis analyzes the entropy of the data stream during backup. Files encrypted by ransomware typically increase in entropy. By detecting this increase, Veeam Inline Entropy Analysis can stop a ransomware attack before it happens. What types of VMs (or systems) can be scanned
I know the answer is really “it depends”, but if customer says “what would you recommend” ..as they tend to do, what would be your go-to recommendation. Feel free to offer other options.
QNAP QuObjects application is free and certificated for objects with immutability, which means you can use it as object storage within Veeam for a backup repository that supports their immutability feature.QNAT QuObjects Requirements: 1.Log on to the NAS as an administrator.2.Select App Center. 3.Click the Search icon on the App Center page. 4.Enter QuObjects and select the QuObjects and click Install. 5.Click Open after Installation is completed. 6.Ensure turn on Server Connection on the QuObjects S3 Compatible Object Service page and select User Management. 7.Click Add User on the User Management page. 8.Select a user on the Add an Authorized User page and click Add. 9.Click the Add key icon on the User Management page. 10.Ensure QuObjects creates an access key for the user and select Storage Space. 11.Click Create on the Storage Space page. 12.Enter the storage space name in the Folder Name field on the Create Storage Space page, select the user and click Create. 13.Select the new c
Just wondering if there is any official information on Veeam Update 12.1.2 out yet? What might be coming with it, improvements to SOSAPI? I have heard rumors but wanted to know if I had missed any official news. Thanks
our company is the Veeam partner company, hence we deployed the veeam backup and replication software, in there having tape library issue, therefore I have raised the case, but i can’t connect to support team directly.so, please provide any contact number or else other way to connect technical support team ?
Got a weird situation I’m not sure of the right approach. This setup is new to me and has some issues which I fully acknowledge and will be seeking to rectify. I have a restore request to recover the server VM that Veeam B&R is installed on. It’s a shared application server running on Hyper-V and one of the other applications has become corrupted and the system will have to be rolled back. My plan was to take a configuration backup of Veeam so I could recover Veeam to the current state after the server itself has been rolled back. The repository is on separate storage so won’t be overwritten by the restore. What I can’t quite figure out is whether or not Veeam is going to be able to instigate a restoration of the machine the B&R server itself is actually running on. Can it do that or will I have to install a second copy of Veeam on another server and import the backup before restoring it?
I need to understand Veeam Backup Proxy servers better. I have two sites. They are in different cities, but connected via a P2P, so on the same network. Site one holds my Veeam Backup server, ESX hosts, VMs, primary storage, etc. Site two contains one ESX server and a very few VMs, (one DC, file server, DHCP) and some storage. At site one, all of my backups are scheduled to run and store locally. Then, from site one, backup copies are moved across the P2P to site 2 for "off-site" backup. This works well. The VMs at site 2 are set to backup to local storage at site 2, but the backup runs and was built from site 1. BUT, at site 2, I have a Veeam B&R server as well and it's listed as my proxy server. It's not doing anything. It handles no backups and basically just sits there. So, clearly, I don't understand WHAT a backup proxy is for or how to use it. Can someone explain it to me like I'm a three year old and maybe draw some pictures? Thanks
